1. “State is the position, external or internal circumstances in which someone is located. At war. S. weather. C. health. At rest." (Ozhegov's Dictionary).
2. “State - physical well-being, as well as state of mind, mood” (Ibid.).
3. The music presented on the album is improvisational.
4. The influence of academic music and minimalism is greater here than traditional jazz.
5. The compositions were conceived and recorded in 2022. The first of these is “State 41”, recorded on April 5, 2022.
6. Starting points for improvisation in compositions: one chord, one note, pattern, several chords, several patterns, groove.
7. Musicians who play with me: Alexander Senko (electronics), Vladimir Volkov (double bass), Petr Ivshin (drums).
8. Instruments I play: grand piano, electric piano, synthesizer, recorders, melodica, whistle, percussion, vocals.
9. Artistic image: several compositions of the album are built on a dominant seventh chord, which does not resolve into the tonic - stuck in it, it’s as if we cannot get out of a closed labyrinth. Leaving the question open as to whether a way out of it is possible, I suggest only recording your feelings or states.
